There was a wonderful blue sky over the Brussels Baloon Parade ! and of course the Smurfs had to be present. For those who don't know, the Smurfs (Les Schtroumpfs their real name) were invented by the Belgian cartoonist Peyo making their first appearance in the Belgian comics on October 23, 1958. The English-speaking world perhaps knows them best through the popular 1980s TV show "The Smurfs".

I always wondered how Smurfs could be so happy when they are always blue?
