Moroccan Tajines for cooking couscous

women buying vegetables for cooking. We are not in Morocco, but in Belgium. Many Morrocans are living here.

A stand where you can buy a plate of cooked very tiny mussels which look like little snail houses. You pull the cooked meat out with a tooth stick. It's a typical Belgian speciality and you can find these stands mostly on markets.

Looks like a fun market to visit. I like those lovely Moroccan Tajines. I've never had couscous before.

Those tiny mussels sold from a stand are interesting. I like mussels and snails too. For snails (kuhol), I like it cooked in coconut milk.

To have a sunday morning market is true luxury!! everything looks wonderful, I would only have to skip the mussels, lol!! I wonder why they need that lid to cook cous-cous...of course the kind I can get is sort of instant and I just add boiling water...
    Very healthy post, Gattina :)

Sunday market is always fun! That's how we eat snails in my country: pull it with a tooth stick or simply suck it [if you're home]. :)

I love vegetables... they look fresh!

What wonderful pictures. I lived in France for three years and I really miss the markets! We have "farmers' markets" in the US, but nothing at like European markets. Thanks for bringing back memories!

Wow... I love couscous - but had no clue that there's a special pot for cooking it! Fascinating. But the mussels are something I'll definitely skip alltogether!
    Thanks for stopping by :)
