WOW! What an interesting set of photos! I always enjoy seeing your photos, but these where especially great because of my love of history. LOVELY! I would just love to see it for myself one day. Thank you so much for bringing us such a lovely look at where you live!
Wow, it must be interesting to live near someplace that historic. I especially like the long stairway with the lion at the top. The hill or mount is almost like a Mexican pyramid. Wat it made after the battle?

My Jack is Scottish and I always tease him that he would look cute in a skirt!
I was wondering what you would find. Your photos are always so interesting and colorful. I love the lion shot.
Nice photos. I will be joining you tomorrow for Pet Pride. Welcome aboard.
P.S. I already added the new badge for my sidebar under Barb's photo-a-day blog.

Excellent photos! I greatly enjoy your excursions, I feel as if I am exploring Europe with you.
What a very interesting destination so close to home. Loved all the photos Gattina! Happy weekend to you...
Hi Gattina,
Great shots. That third picture of all those stairs is awesome. I wouldn't want to go up them. I wouldn't make it! Have a great day!
