Quiet before the Storm

When you know that something is about to go horribly wrong, but hasn't just yet, then you are in the quiet before the storm.

Red carpet

If you give someone the red-carpet treatment, you give them a special welcome to show that you think they are important. You can roll out the red carpet, too.

I'm rolling out the red carpet for your return Gattina, very well done, even though you're one week ahead with your alphabet! LOL! But you did great, love them both! ( Although I don't think I want to be in the storm you pictured there!)

Those are great shots for the idioms, Gattina! I once walked on the red carpet in Cannes, nothing less! we were there at noon and there were preparations for some late event, the carpet was already ready and I got to be a star in front of Mr Mar's video camera!
I am rather confused with the idioms' schedule...

This week was O & P! LOL! You played though LAST week when no one else played, didn't you? THAT's why the mixup - you are all pre-posted when we weren't playing! It's okay Gattina! It just means you will have to do Y&Z TWICE when we get there!!! (good luck with that!) LOL!

THESE are great idioms for the letters though! I NEVER thought of that Quiet before the storm! "Q" was a hard letter too! That is wonderful! And I LOVE that red carpet!

You chose some fantastic photos for the idioms, Gattina! I think I'd better start looking from now for something to go with "Q" for next week!

I hope you're enjoying your trip to Italy.

You may be early for Q and R but these are absolutely wonderful choices!
I love the storm pic! I say those words to myself a lot when a storm is coming.
Well done.
